Hands Full

Sophia Clist

Hands Full– a meditation on the endless tasks of motherhood originated as one of the performances for Phenomenal People, commissioned by Fuel Theatre.

Sophia continues to develop Hands Full evolving the work into a participatory installation where the public is invited to take part in the making of the paper sculpture – drawing and writing on the component parts, shaping the paper and adding it to the growing sculpture. The original concept of Hands Full has expanded to embrace a sense of the primal power of hope, of sharing our humanity, of taking part, of belonging.

Hands Full has shown at: Shop Front Festival commissioned by Theatre Absolute with local community participants; Thelma Hulbert Gallery collaborating with local community groups in a newly devised workshop series; Assembly, N_E_W Ashburton and most recently Art Week Exeter.
