Earth Bowl was created for In This Place. This new sight-specific play immersed the audience in a world of stories connecting local women of all ages to the surrounding landscape. It was experienced though headphones whilst following a circular walk. Sophia made multiple casts of her cupped hands. The Earth Bowls were placed in a variety of configurations along the route of the walk – floating in a pond, hanging in trees, nestling in the heather – guiding the way, giving reason to pause, quietly augmenting the women's voices.
